We totally get you. This is the most common issue that most Rockspace extender users go suffer from. You reading this post is an indication that you are also going through a similar situation. Worry not! We are here to help you. We are going to provide you with the topmost working solutions to get rid of the issue at hand.

Rockspace Extender Stopped Working [Resolved]

In case your Rockspace WiFi range extender has stopped working abruptly and you cannot access its network, follow the steps highlighted ahead. We suggest you check the network connection right after performing each step.

Step 1: Reboot Rockspace Extender.

Fix the temporary technical hitches by unplugging the Rockspace range extender and plugging it back in to the wall socket. This will reboot your extender. The reboot process also helps the extender get some rest. Now, check the internet connection. Working fine? No? Try the next hack.

Step 2: Verify the Power Supply

Make sure the Rockspace range extender is receiving a proper and non-fluctuating power supply. Check the power adapter as well as the power socket. The power cable should be plugged in properly into the wall socket. The power socket should not be damaged.  The power LED on the extender will help you know if the power supply is good or not. After making the necessary changes, see if the network issue has been resolved or not.

Step 3: Check the Internet Connection.

The Rockspace WiFi extender should be connected to an optimum internet network. For this, try connecting it to the host router again after disconnecting them. Take our advice; connect the devices using an Ethernet cable. This will ensure a minimum signal loss. However, the cable should be in good condition and inserted properly into the Ethernet ports on both the extender and the router.

Step 4: Check Extender Placement.

You need to make very certain that the Rockspace wireless range extender is placed within the router signal range. Move the extender closer to the router if they are placed away from each other. Do not make the blunder of placing them very close either. Their signals will clash and this will enhance the issue further. Apart from this, you need to ensure that the extender is placed at an open and higher place in the home such that the devices find it easy to access the network.

Step 5: No WiFi Interference

There should be zero to minimum WiFi interference. Many devices or appliances in our homes can interfere with the extender’s WiFi network. Thus you need to place the range extender away from any devices that operate on the same frequency bands as that the extender does. Examples are baby monitors, Bluetooth speakers, microwave ovens, etc.

Step 6. Disconnect some devices.

With more number of devices accessing the Rockspace WiFi range extender’s network, the network performance degrades.  Try disconnecting some extra devices from the extender’s network. After you are done with this, try checking the extender network.

Step 7. Reset Extender

If none of the above provided troubleshooting hacks have been of any use to fix the Rockspace WiFi extender not working issue, then it is now time to reset your Rockspace extender. Resetting will delete the current configuration settings from the extender and restore the default factory settings. To reset your Rockspace WiFi range extender, press the Reset button that is usually located on the back of your extender. The Rockspace extender is now reset to factory settings.

Perform the Rockspace extender setup process again now by accessing the http re rockspace local login page. Right after you are done with this step, we are pretty sure that the Rockspace extender stopped working issue will no longer be bothering you.
