The Kartik Aaryan starrer Shehzada, directed by Rohit Dhawan the film is gearing up for release later this week. Currently, Kartik is busy promoting the film across the country. In fact, thanks to his wide promotional campaign the film has been seeing a positive response at the advance-booking window. Made on a budget of Rs. 85 cr. (Rs. 65 cr. as Cost of Production and Rs. 20 cr. on Print and Advertisement), the film has managed to recover Rs. 10 cr. from its music rights, Rs. 15 cr. from its satellite rights, Rs. 40 cr. from the sale of its OTT rights to Netflix, and a minimum guarantee of Rs. 5 cr. from overseas taking the total recoveries to Rs. 70 cr.
Given the above balance sheet, Shehzada needs to draw in approx. Rs. 40 cr. at the box office to break even. Readers might be aware that Kartik had offered to forego his remuneration and came on board as a producer making this project a sure-shot money-maker at the box office.
